Access Ambassadors CIC is a community interest company, based in Milton Keynes, whose aim is to provide solutions to access issues so that Deaf people or people with hearing loss no longer face disproportionate barriers to realising employment opportunities and accessing positive lifestyles. Access Ambassadors CIC addresses these access issues in t... hree ways: Firstly, we work with D/deaf and hard of hearing people in Milton Keynes to help them overcome access issues they face in gaining work, and also in everyday life. Secondly, we work with business and organisations in Milton Keynes to help them become more responsive to communication difficulties, so that D/deaf and hard of hearing customers, employees and potential employees can access services appropriately. More information on this can be found on our pages for businesses. Finally, we work with the hearing community in Milton Keynes to promote the use of British Sign Language. Recognised as a specific language in 2003, BSL is one of the most expressive forms of communication. You may have a specific interest in BSL because of work, family or friends, or you may simply wish to try something different and meet new and interesting people. Either way, learning British Sign Language can be a fun and socially engaging process. We offer a range of courses following a nationally recognised framework for complete beginners through to level 3 - the equivalent of an 'A'-Level.
