Academic Primary Care Associates

Since September 10, 2007, Academic Primary Care Associates (APCA), an independent affiliate of VCOM, has been helping patients of all ages with their healthcare needs. Our friendly physicians and staff provide a full range of family medicine, sports medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine services to help resolve any health compliant you may... have. Part of our mission at APCA is to engage VCOM students, interns and residents and provide them with a wide range of training opportunities. Since opening our doors, we have had a number of students with different speciality areas rotate through as they gain practical experience in different areas of medical care. Residents from Montgomery Regional Hospital's rotating internship, family practice and internal medicine residency programs all began doing rotations with us at APCA in July 2008. While the care and well-being of our patients is always our highest priority, we also value our role as a teaching healthcare practice that provides residents exposure to basic knowledge and skills required to effectively operate a medical practice and allows them real life experience not found in a classroom.Read More
