Established in 2002. Our mission at Absolute Yoga is to make yoga readily accessible to every body, regardless of age, level or fitness ability. It is not necessary to be flexible or strong to begin a yoga practice; an open mind and a willingness to explore your experience is all that's required. Yoga is an amazing journey of self-discovery. We enc... ourage everyone to come and experience some of the incredible benefits of this 5,000 year old practice.We also have a full service yoga boutique with a large selection of yoga clothing (including Beyond Yoga, Alo, Soybu, Liquido, Prism Sport, Rese), jewelry, mats and props, mat carriers, Ayurvedic products, and an array of books and music. With over 14 years of experience in teaching yoga to the growing community of yogis in Long Island, we are one of the oldest studios in Long Island, serving the North Shore community in our same location since 2002. Leslie Luft, the owner and director of Absolute Yoga, became interested in yoga for the same reasons you may be looking at it for. Leslie spent 20 years working as a corporate/securities attorney. When the stress of her career and the commute, together with her full time job as a mom to her two children, became overwhelming, she turned to yoga. Enjoying the many benefits that yoga had to offer her, she was inspired to get her teaching certification and bring the gift of yoga to others.
