Abbey Medical practice was founded on 1st October 1997 with the guiding principle of providing the best possible quality of service to patients within the total resources at the practice's disposal. As a partnership of four GPs, supported by a salaried GP and a full complement of professional staff, we have established a solid commitment to high qu... ality clinical care which is in step with current best practice, but which retains the values of traditional General practice. We therefore strive to care for our patients in a manner which is efficient, friendly and welcoming. It is our philosophy to ensure continuity of care by only using locum doctors to cover periods of annual leave and to maintain appointment availability. We have opted not to provide extended hours in order to ensure the highest possible standards of service to our 7,715 patients during the core hours of 08:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday.
