A-1 Paint, Powder & Sandblasting, LLC of Kansas City, Missouri was established in 2006 by Eric and Christina Davis who operated the company part time until the fall of 2010 when Colonel Laster became a partner. Colonel Laster, a long time business owner, brought extensive process management experience to the company. "Colonel Laster's job is to mov... e our company to the next level" Eric told a magazine reporter in October 2010. In March 2011, Colonel Laster became majority owner after Eric Davis became ill. Although the two of them continued to work together to grow the company, Eric became less involved during the time he underwent medical treatment. In October, 2011 Colonel Laster and Pat purchased the remaining ownership from Eric and Christina Davis. On January 1, 2012, Frank Laster, Jr became a partner in the company and began working as Vice President for Customer Relations. Frank Jr and Colonel have been, and are currently, supported by Pat Laster as Vice President for Business Management. A-1 Paint, Powder and Sandblasting, LLC is a coating company that offers powder coating, wet painting and sandblasting services to fabricating companies. The company main focus is on powder coating, painting and sandblasting large fabricated steel parts for manufacturing companies. A-1 Paint, Powder and Sandblasting, LLC has a 380 foot powder coating line with a 60' X 11' X 8' oven, a 16' X 16' X 55' wet paint booth and 14'X40'X40' sandblasting building. The Company's 61,000 sq. foot Building located near I-435 and Truman Road provides it room to wash, phosphate, dry, paint or powder coat, bake, inspect and pack parts for shipment without being exposed.
