Founded in St. Louis Missouri in 1978 as a "one-man" operation by our Chairman Henry Kraus, A Square has expanded to employ over 20 full-time employees. Our size allows us to give individualized attention to each and ever... y one of our customers while simultaneously being able to handle projects with extremely large output volumes. We truly believe that no job is too big or too small. Currently managed by Henry's grandson and company President, Nathan Bill, A Square is poised to continue growing well into the future. Nathan earned his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Texas and is committed to developing new processes and chemistries for the company. A Square specializes in precious and semi-precious metal plating for a wide number of industries. In house, we plate silver, gold, tin, nickel, electroless nickel and copper. Some examples of the plethora of industries we serve include: electrical generation and distribution, food services, defense, small electronics, laser, oil and gas, naval, and etc. Products utilizing our plating truly reach every corner of the world. To remain competitive in the global marketplace, A Square has learned to adapt its processes to reduce material costs as much as possible. In order to compete with cheap overseas labor A Square became a pioneer in selective plating processes. We take pride in being on the forefront of selective plating technology and frequently work with customers to provide custom-built masking and plating solutions for their parts and projects. As manufacturing trends have moved towards OEMs transitioning more and more of their manufacturing workload off-site, A Square has adapted to provide full-part manufacturing services.
