About 250,000 children live below the Colorado Self-Sufficiency Standard in A Precious Child's service area. Children living in poverty are more likely to be in poor health, less likely to graduate high school on time and are more likely to live in poverty as adults. A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges su... ch as abuse and neglect, crisis situations and poverty. We work with more than 500 Agency Partners throughout eight counties, including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas Jefferson and Weld to identify children and families in the most need of our services. A Precious Child treats all clients with compassion and understanding without casting judgment.
