Mychoice now offers Accelerated Internet Access to all of our customers at no extra charge. Both Dial-up customers and Broadband customers can benefit from our new acceleration server. Typically, when a customer requests a webpage from the Internet, an entire conversation of requests and acknowledgements must take place between the customer and the... destination website. This conversation is limited to the speed of the customers connection and is slowed even more by the nature of how the Internet works. By utilizing our acceleration server, the request for a webpage will be sent to our server instead of the Internet. If the webpage has recently been requested by any of our customers, it will be immediately delivered back with no time spent requesting the page from the Internet. If the page is not stored locally or is "stale", the entire conversation for requesting the page will be done at our backbone speeds, then delivered to the customer's computer.
