Springboard for Children

We are committed to working in partnership with others through every area of our work: with schools, parents, community groups and other agencies. We work as part of The Dyslexia-SpLD-Trust, a collaboration of voluntary and community organisations with funding from the Department for Education to provide reliable information to parents, teachers, s... chools and the wider sector. The Trust acts as the main communication channel between government, leading dyslexia organisations, parents, schools, colleges, teachers and the sector. Developed by nasen, the UK's leading professional association for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), the SEND Gateway is an online 'one-stop-shop' portal offering all education professionals free, easy access to high quality information, resources and training for meeting the needs of children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND. Springboard is an Associate Member of The Communication Trust. The Communication Trust is a coalition of nearly 50 voluntary and community organisations with expertise in speech, language and communication. We harness our collective expertise to support the children's workforce and commissioners to support all children and young people's communication skills, particularly those with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Springboard is a member of the UK Literacy Association. UKLA is concerned with literacy education in school and out-of-school settings in all phases of education and members include classroom teachers, teaching assistants, school literacy co-ordinators, LEA literacy consultants, teacher educators, researchers, inspectors, advisors, publishers and librarians.
