About 360 Fusion

360 Fusion is the melding of a spectrum of colors and shapes of glass to create unique and colorful glass artwork. This glass art is created through a process called "fused glass" or "kiln-formed glass" because all the glass forming activity takes place in a kiln at temperatures between 1100 and 1700 degrees, enough heat to fuse the individual pieces of glass together. Once the design is conceived, different colors and shapes of glass are cut and placed in a kiln to meld together. Sheet glass, glass chards, frit, powder, and stringer can be used to create the design. Given the length of each firing, finished pieces can take several days to complete as multiple firings are typical. Firings can include creating the initial glass design, fire polishing the glass and slumping to shape the glass.
