Richland County deputies risk their lives daily. They protect people and property, often under adverse conditions. Providing equipment when it is needed, rather than when dollars become available was, and still is, The Richland County Sheriffs Foundations primary objective. We equip deputies with the tools necessary to perform their duties safely,... and enable them to provide effective and efficient protection to Richland County citizens and visitors. These funds have been used to purchase lifesaving equipment such as bullet proof vests and walkie-talkies. We also purchase and support the needs of our beloved K9 team, support protective enforcement programs like D.A.R.E. and community policing initiatives like our Kid Print program. Additionally, RCSF funds are used to assist families of deputies killed in the line of duty, deputies injured in the line of duty, and deputies who are experiencing hardships due to serious illness or injury.
