Jacques Verwey (Pr Cert Eng), a registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) as well as a Certificated Engineer (Cert Eng - GCC), is the founder and owner of Jaclin Engineering (Pty... ) Limited. He spent the first 25 years of his Mechanical Engineering career in the textile industry as Plant Engineer and Chief Engineer, respectively, for two internationally owned companies. He designed, built and maintained both woven textile and non-woven textile plants in Cape Town. His experience over the years encompassed complete plant infrastructure systems including steam, high pressure hot water, compressed air, vacuum systems, LPG, HVAC as well as 11kV electrical reticulation systems. Jacques jointly started a steam trap company in 2008 and was instrumental in developing a range of unique steam traps. Having designed, built, run and maintained boiler and steam plants for 25 years, Jacques has extensive "hands-on" experience with steam systems and steam trapping. He enjoys steam system design, improvements, as well as troubleshooting. Jacques broke away from his previous company in 2016, together with his colleague Byron Cupido, and decided to broaden their customer base by using their more than 40 years of joint hands-on experience in industry and factory utilities.
