Established in 1978. Authentic Italian food, emphasis on Neapolitan cuisine, Gourmet Pizza, Pasta, Fish, Steaks, Scallopini, Chicken Alfonso's Family Trattoria and Gourmet Pizzeria has been a Somerville Tradition since 1978. It all started when our dad, Aniello, came to the United States from Naples, Italy in 1953 to seek a better life for himself... and his family. He brought along with him his passion for good food and wine. He opened his first pizzeria in Brooklyn and perfected his recipe for pizza that has been used ever since. After many years of running a successful business in Brooklyn, he moved to Central Jersey and opened Alfonso's Trattoria & Gourmet Pizzeria in Somerville together with his son, Anthony.
