Mizzou quarterback James Franklin is the son of Willie Franklin, who played tight end for the University of Oklahoma and later played for the Baltimore Colts in the NFL. They call this African-American man "Uncle Chocolate," even some of the Missouri players. Back in 1976, as a young evangelist, his life was laid out for him after some preaching in Alabama. A 12-year old boy asked him to be his dad. "I just started crying," Willie said. Get close to James and you get close to Willie. Willie preached for 8 years in New Guinea and now resides in Texas . He has taught at Christian Universities and high schools. He is now a motivational speaker. Willie has a passion for sharing the gospel and loves college ministry. He will be speaking at the Little Hocking Church of Christ Sun. Nov. 5, at Worship 9:00 a.m. Class, 10:15 a.m. Worship, 6:00 p.m. and Monday thru Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. He will also be speaking at local High Schools during the day time.
