Yemen Country Manager Wael Zakout Bio: Wael Zakout is currently the Country Manager for Yemen. Before joining the Yemen team, he was the Sector Manager, Urban, Water and Disaster Risk Management in the Sustainable Development Department, Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin Madison in civil and environmental engineering and undergraduate degree from Bir Zeit University in the West Bank. Mr. Zakout joined the World Bank in 1994 and held several positions in East Asia and Europe and Central Asia regions before taking up his current position.
