Tresha Fletcher received a Certificate of Appreciation from Connect to Protect recognizing her "for all the consistent support" she has "provided to create healthier environments for youth by continuing… commitment to reducing HIV/AIDS in Broward County." Both Ms. Edgar and Ms. Fletcher have been outstanding supporters of Connect to Protect and their important work.

"Middle school students from all over the county really took a strong interest in tobacco prevention and we plan to build on this momentum by offering more programs and creating more of an awareness." The annual competition is an effort between the Area Health Education Centers Program at Nova Southeastern University, BCPS, Best Buy, Broward County Health Department, CVS, Florida Department of Children and Families, Project Bridge and the United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse.
