Traci Putkey
Marketing Assistant Traci Putkey Traci's inexhaustible passion for music propelled her from the age of 16 to become the nationally recognized music industry professional she is today. As a teenager in her hometown of Houston, Traci had the distinguished responsibility of heading the Houston area street team for the long-standing industry publication, Insomniac Magazine (based out of NY). Even while studying Communications and Public Relations at the University of California at Davis, she couldn't resist the siren call of the music industry, becoming heavily involved in the local hip-hop community, throwing renowned events and working at the only all hip-hop shop in town. Upon leaving Davis she headed out for San Francisco and made the city by the bay her playground for the next decade. Traci quickly made her mark in the local San Francisco music scene serving as Creative Director for Bay Area-based hip-hop collective the Sisterz of the Underground, while also interning at independent labels such as Bomb Hip Hop, Look Records and Live Up Records. It wasn't long after that she began producing her own events at many of SF's top nightlife destinations. Working with artists like Roc Raida, Cunninglingyuists, MC Lyte, Funkdoobiest, Concious Daughters and Sabac Red, Traci quickly established herself as hip hop and dj event producer in the Bay Area, most notably in the underground scene. After a decade in San Francisco, she moved to Las Vegas and became General Manager of a boutique DJ Management and Event Production company managing over 7 artists. She also partnered with nightlife conglomerates such as the Light Group, N9NE Group and AMG booking artists and producing events. While in Vegas, she founded the monthly event "We Funkin LoveDisco" at Savile Row inside the Luxor, and brought the Mad Decent event "Vibrate" to the Palms Casino. When her company created a new branch based solely on artist bookings they immediately appointed Traci as the General Manager.
