A subsidiary of Builders, Inc., Fahnestock today represents the multi-generational legacies of the Fahnestock and Garvey families. Founded in 1942 by R.H. Garvey and his son Willard, Builders, Incorporated developed homes, apartments and shopping centers, in the Wichita area. Fahnestock was founded four years later by E.G. "Ed" Fahnestock, Sr. and his son E.G. "Ted" Fahnestock, Jr. Supplying the same post-war boom in construction, the company soon grew to become one of the Wichita area's leading providers of residential and light commercial HVAC. Over the years, as leadership in these two companies passed to subsequent generations, Builders Inc. and Fahnestock both continued to grow and prosper. Under the leadership of its experienced management team, the company continues to rely on one simple idea still guiding everything we do: Treat others as you want to be treated.
