Monday Sheridan College volleyball coach Todd Cooper said last night,s home match with Casper College could be a classic and all the fans attending last night,s match were entertained by both teams with the match going the five set limit.The teams split the first two games with Casper taking game three.The Lady Generals battled back and blew Casper out in the 4th game but Casper regained the momentum to the 5th and deciding game.Cooper says it,s tough when you come up on the wrong end of a hard fought battle like that.Cooper says both clubs built up the match and both teams delivered.Head coach Todd Cooper says fans should see a great match tonight.Head Coach Todd Cooper says both teams match-up pretty well and it should be a great college volleyball match Thursday night.The match will begin at 7 o,clock.The Lady Generals are also scheduled to host the Air Force Academy Saturday but Cooper has indicated the academy is trying to get out of coming to Sheridan for the match and they may have to cancel.Head coach Todd Cooper was happy to see them dominate the match the way they did.

Head Coach Todd CooperHead Coach Todd CooperSheridan College Lady Generals Head Coach Todd CooperHead Coach Todd CooperCoach Cooper has compiled a 151-104 win-loss record in his first five seasons as head coach for the Lady Generals.His teams have played in the regional final three of the five years, earning two Region IX Championship crowns.In his first season at Sheridan College in 1997, Coach Cooper's team finished fourth in the nation.In 1999, his undefeated team in regional competition finished seventh at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament.With four returning student-athletes from the 2001 squad, and nine incoming freshman, Cooper is looking forward to the future of Sheridan College Lady General Volleyball.Coach Cooper graduated from Sheridan College and earned a B.A. from the University of Wyoming in education.Sheridan College is happy to have Coach Cooper, his lovely wife Dixie, and their four children, Tyler, Shayley, Braxton, and Rhylee, as part of the General Family.If you would like to play for the Lady Generals or you have questions about the team contact Coach Todd Cooper at 307-674-6446 ext. 6313 or by email.

Head Volleyball Coach Todd Cooper to ResignSheridan College Athletics NewsAfter 11 years and 295 victories, Sheridan College's Head Lady Generals Volleyball coach and this year's Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, Todd Cooper, has made the decision to resign his post at SC effective June 30. "Coach Cooper will be greatly missed by his players, colleagues and friends," SC Athletic Director Joel Davidson said."Todd was very loyal to Sheridan College - whether it was in the classroom or on the floor.He was always willing to step up and help the school out & for that he will be missed.He was very successful on the floor here, but where he was most successful was - with the relationships he has formed with his players.He is still very close to his former players and that speaks volumes to his character."No stranger to the Golden Dome, Cooper has had the unique opportunity to be a part of the lives of the many outstanding athletes who've come and gone, which is something he said he'll never forget."What I've enjoyed most about coaching at Sheridan College is the relationships I've developed with the student athletes," he said."Over the years I've received calls, cards and letters from former players who inform me of their successes in their personal or professional lives.It's fulfilling to me to know that I may have had a part in that success." Although Cooper is unsure as to what the future holds for him, he said he is looking forward to facing new challenges in the future. "Coaching has been a great opportunity for me," he said.Cooper attributes his success to the many great athletes he's coached over the years, as well as the many quality assistant coaches he's worked with. The Sheridan Community was also instrumental in the overall success of the program.
