Thomas R. Winkel , MA, LPC, NCC
Thomas is the Managing Partner and "Chief Navigator" of The Waypoint Group. He holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Professional Studies in Portland, Oregon. Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona and a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Why he's here... Thomas spent many years in both the volunteer and social services sector, working in many different settings with many different clients and families. While he very much enjoyed all of those experiences, his overall career goal was to establish a company that could be an outlet for providing creative and effective services to help people create change, no matter their setting and circumstance. Other interesting tidbits... Thomas has lived most of his life in Phoenix (except for a stint in Portland to further his education). His interests include legos, studying history, and hiking (sometimes into the middle of nowhere). At home, he has the opportunity to practice his psychology skills on his two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Becky & Spencer. He regrets that his change theories have not been quite as effective on them as with his clients. Email Thomas at
