Thomas Anderson, M.D.
Thomas Anderson, M.D., FCAP Dr. Thomas Anderson is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his medical degree from the University of Connecticut. He did his residencies in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and has worked at Waterbury Hospital since 1982, serving as Chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine from 1996 to 2010. He is former president of the Connecticut Society of Pathologists and a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and American Society of Clinical Pathologists. His interests include general surgical pathology, auto-immune disease and immunopathology.

Thomas Anderson, MD
Dr. Anderson is medical director of Hospital Laboratories at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. He graduated from King's College London School of Dentistry in 1976 and University College Cork School of Medicine in 1982. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and fellowship training in cytopathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., in 1992. During his training, Dr. Anderson received the Ronald S. Beckett Award for outstanding resident. Before coming to Hampton Roads, he worked as a surgical pathologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pa. His professional interests include oncology pathology, particularly in head and neck, thoracic and cytopathy.
