Searsport Elementary School

Searsport Elementary School was built in 1991. If you visit our school you will see it reflects our coastal heritage. Murals, paintings, and sculpture depict the ocean, and tiles on the outside of the school are of ocean animals. We currently have approximately 180 students in grades K-5. We also house the Waldo County Preschool program and have one class of 3 year olds and 3 classes of 4 year olds. There are about 40 children in the preschool program. Our students have art, music including chorus for grades 4 & 5 and band for grade 5, library and P.E. weekly. Teachers have access to a 14 station computer room. This year our school will be getting 30 laptops on portable carts that will be able to move from class to class. Our library has over 8,300 titles.
