Tanya Watton
Tanya Watton Tanya Watton, Director of Human Resources: Tanya joined the Community in 2008. Prior to joining The Elliott Community, Tanya worked as Director of HR for two multi-national manufacturing firms and was a faculty member within the HR Program at Sheridan College. In 2009, Tanya was one of the first in the province to receive the prestigious Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRP) designation, which is bestowed to select Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP) who fulfil the stringent evaluation criteria developed by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA) inter-provincial taskforce. Tanya is an active volunteer who mentors young professionals; in 2010 Tanya was asked to join HRPAO's Assessment Committee as a panelist for CHRE candidate evaluations, helping to shape the profession's strategic future. Tanya would say that The Elliott Community has become an important part of her own personal family. Tanya often involves her children in resident visits and festive events; spending Christmas Day with the residents has become a much enjoyed mother/daughter tradition!
