Tammy Schaffer, Client Service Representative
Tammy Schaffer is one of our outstanding client service representatives whose genuine love for animals is reflected in her work each day. Tammy has been working with South Forsyth Animal Hospital since June of 2016, and has been working full time to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Some of her daily responsibilities include scheduling appointments, prescription refills, patient follow-ups, serving as our hospital liaison, and filling in where needed regarding running bloodwork, x-rays, surgical monitoring & recovery, and assisting our doctors and technicians. The aspect of Tammy's job that she enjoys most is being able to meet so many awesome pets and their caring families. Tammy has been working in the animal related field since 2005, possessing prior experience as a dog caregiver, an adoption counselor, doggy day care attendant, and as a pet sitter. When asked about working for South Forsyth Animal Hospital, Tammy says, "The staff here is like family and the combined experience of everyone allows me to constantly learn. Everyone here truly cares about animals. The veterinarians' experience and knowledge allow me to continue learning while enjoying my job." Away from the hospital, Tammy looks after her beloved lab mix, Marni, and three cats, named Murphy, Maddy, and Stormy. In her free time, Tammy likes to travel and explore new places, doing crafts and DIY projects, reading, camping, and practicing photography.

Tammy Schaffer joined South Forsyth Animal Hospital in June 2016. She has been employed in the animal care field for the past 11 years in positions such as dog caregiver, pet sitter and adoption counselor. Tammy's responsibilities at our hospital include answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and checking patients in and out. Tammy also handles prescription refills, patient follow-up, and responding to various medical questions. She says, "Everyone here truly cares about animals. The veterinarian's experience and knowledge allows me to continue learning while enjoying my job." At home, Tammy has a lab mix named Marni, two cats named Maddy and Murphy, and one cat named Stormy.
