Stephen B. Reid, QEP Manager, Environmental Modeling Division Steve, with STI since 2003, oversees our emissions inventory-related work, which includes assessments of criteria pollutant, air toxic, and greenhouse gas emissions from a wide variety of sources. He applies his knowledge of emissions inventory development and emissions modeling to diverse projects, which have included field studies of trucking activities at a major port and diesel equipment activity at a transportation construction project, as well as national-scale assessments of emissions from wildfires and prescribed burns. Steve is also the manager of our atmospheric modeling group and has led numerous projects requiring the application of dispersion and photochemical grid models to air quality management issues. Steve is an avid runner and has completed several marathons and a 50-mile ultramarathon. He has been certified as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice and is a member of the Air and Waste Management Association. He holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Cal State Fullerton.

Steve's interests extend beyond our atmosphere; he volunteers as a docent at the Robert Ferguson Observatory in Kenwood, California, one of the largest amateur observatories in the United States. Steve has been certified as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice and is a member of the Air and Waste Management Association. He holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
