The company specializes in the development and management of multi-family properties, including apartments, student housing, and condominiums. He currently has 774 apartment units under construction in the Southeast, and he recently sold two deals for a combined value of approximately $86 million. He was the lead developer of Center City Green, a 500,000 SF, 12-story, mixed-use development completed in 2009 and played a lead role in the redevelopment of the 230 South Tryon office building into upscale condominiums, including heading up the development of the adjacent stand-alone Ruth's Chris restaurant. Steve received his undergraduate degree in economics from Wake Forest University and his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. In 2013, Steve was appointed by the Governor of North Carolina to serve as a public member on the North Carolina Board of Architecture. He is also an active member of NMHC, Urban Land Institute, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
