Steven Hardy, design director for Squeeze Jeans, agrees.
"Every time the trend comes around I've seen it happen the same way: first leopard, zebra and snake prints, then military camouflage. Squeeze sells camouflage bra tops and belts that go with "army tint" jeans. "Army tint" is Squeeze Jeans' #1 back- to- school denim colour. "I like the camouflage trend when it's done very feminine and sexy," says Hardy.

Want to gain the heart of the plus consumer

This knowledge is a driving force for Stephen Hardy, designer of Stephen Hardy for Squeeze.
For the past two years, Hardy has added more sizes to his plus-size juniors-oriented line of clothing, Curvy Girl. "She wants the exact same style as her size two or four counterpart-no different," says Hardy. "So I give her the same line, it's just proportioned and sized for her, to make the best of her assets." Hardy's been rewarded for his initiative-he reports that in many stores, the larger sizes sell out at a faster rate than the regular sizes.

Want to gain the heart of the plus consumer

"Denim is a fabric that all Americans are in love with," says designer Stephen Hardy of Squeeze.
Hardy's new line includes A-line pants with jackets to match, fishtail skirts and tailored jackets, all fashioned out of black denim. "Denim gives you a very comfortable feel because of the beautiful hand of cotton," says Hardy.

Girls Rule!

An eerily calm Stephen Hardy, design director of the label Squeeze, instructs a girl to keep her thumbs hooked in the pockets of her houndstooth hotpants for the television cameras.
