Stephen Calvert
Stephen Calvert Prior to joining Catapult, Stephen Calvert has worked for roughly 5 years in a variety of finance and accounting roles within oil and gas. This included, but was not limited to, production and operational accounting on Nexen's Long Lake project as well as assorted royalty accounting for EOG Resources. More recently, Mr. Calvert has worked in various Crude Oil Service and Corporate Development roles within Plains Midstream Canada for approximately three and a half years beginning in 2012. After a year of reporting for Crude Oil Trading & Supply he moved into a newly formed Strategy Planning group. Working alongside Acquisitions the Planning group was solely responsible for developing the companywide, long-term market outlook: effectively modelling crude, natural gas and LPG production across North America, as well as identifying commercial opportunities for business development. Monitoring of liquids takeaway and market price movement necessitated development of a full capacity-based-demand and play-based-supply model. Mr. Calvert holds a Bachelor of Arts (Econometrics) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Calgary, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Edinburgh. His studies included research into aspects of regulatory economics and he holds a passion for competition law.
