Shawn Rogers
Center Director Email Shawn Shawn brings over 13 years' experience in small business and economic development to the SBDC. Previously, she worked in the Bluegrass SBDC as a Senior Management Consultant and Assistant Center Director. She also worked as an Executive Staff Advisor at the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development's Office of Entrepreneurship and later worked for Community Ventures Corporation as the Vice President of New Markets Tax Credit and was a Senior Business Development Specialist. Shawn has a BBA in management and BS in accounting from the University of Kentucky. She has industry experience in furniture manufacturing, specialty retailing and the craft industry. Shawn's expertise includes financial analysis, market, strategic and business planning, funding options, and community development financing including tax increment financing and new markets tax credit. In 2006 Shawn received the Sutton Landry State Star Award and was inducted into the SBDC Million Dollar Loan Club in 2009 and 2010. Since 2008 Shawn has been a volunteer for the Bluegrass Shih Tzu Rescue. Away from the office she enjoys cycling and spending time with family and friends.
