Pam also reported that board members Darlene Hernandez, RVT, and Sharon (Radel) Willis, RVT, had declined to run for re-election due to other commitments.
Since Willis resigned from the Board, an opening on the Executive Committee was created. Our Executive Committee, which consists of our President, Pamela Maurer, RVT; Vice-President, Sue Brodbeck, RVT; Director, Sharon (Radel) Willis, RVT and Regulatory/Legislative Liaison, Nancy Ehrlich, RVT; meets electronically as needed between Board meetings to decide issues that require a very timely response. The hope is that the school would pay the fee, which would be very reasonable, in order to satisfy the AVMA requirement that RVT schools’ students join their local and/or regional RVT associations. Sharon volunteered to do some research on this concept and Pam agreed to contact NAVTA, which has a similar program.
