Purple Pumpkin Catering based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent has Head Chef Sean Taylor at the helm.
Although he has 30 years of cooking and catering under his belt, he still treats every event, irrespective of size or type with the same enthusiasm and professionalism. Sean is certainly energetic and in 2012 Sean was charged with providing the catering staff, the chef and Front of House for the Olympic Broadcasting Services. The food had to be of the highest quality and Sean was responsible for all areas of FOH at the relevant compound restaurants at the Olympic site.

Purple Pumpkin owner and Head Chef Sean Taylor, has been in the catering business for the last 30 years.
But it has been over the last 20 years that his outside catering business has been at the for front of his knowledge base. Sean traveled around the world with bands, musicians and their support team for six years catering for all their food and drink requirements on a daily bases. Sean then went onto work through the Admirable Crichton for Prince Charles providing for his personal parties at all of the palaces and some events abroad. During his time at the Admirable Crichton, Sean also worked on weddings in Gstaad Switzerland and various events and parties through Europe and Britain. Seeing a need for top class catering in and around Sussex and Kent he started Purple Pumpkin Catering, catering for weddings, birthday parties from 18th to 80th, Wedding Anniversaries themed events, funerals and various parties whilst collecting a loyal cliental to which it is growing on a daily basis with most clients returning every year. 90% of business is word of mouth which reiterates the quality of food and service provided. 2012 was a pivotal year with the Olympics and Sean was involved in providing catering staff, both chef and FOH for the OBS (Olympic Broadcasting Services). The OBS is a company who solely work on the Olympics providing TV coverage to be sold to countries worldwide. Sean and his staff had to work long hours to provide meals and refreshments to the camera crews and journalists working through out the day and night. The standard of food and service was one of the highest quality due to the nature of the Olympics. Sean himself oversaw areas of FOH and kitchens at the relevant compound restaurants within the Olympic site.

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Sean and Davina and the team from Pickled Pig for a visit to Hopkins River Beef.
Sean Taylor (ex Donovans Restaurant, Melbourne) is the chef and owner of Pickled Pig, described as modern Australian and Spanish cuisine, located in Warrnambool.
