Faculty, community call for resignations : AztecPressOnline

The four board members are Marty Cortez, Brenda Even, David Longoria and Scott Stewart, who all where on the board while Roy Flores was chancellor.

With Longoria gone, Scott Stewart of District 4 remains the only board member who was named by a Faculty Senate Resolution as having failed "to recognize and act ethically and prudently upon problems" concerning the circumstances leading to former chancellor Roy Flores's resignation and the resulting investigation by PCC's accrediting institution, the Higher Learning Commission.
Stewart, Longoria, Cortez and Even were all called upon to resign in the March 2013 resolution. The Faculty Senate cited Cortez along with current board members David Longoria of District 2 and Scott Stewart of District 4, as well as former board member Brenda Even as having failed to "recognize and act ethically" in regards to the issues under the Flores administration and highlighted by the Higher Learning Commission.

Scott Stewart - School Board

Board of Governors : AztecPressOnline

Community business leaders, faculty, staff and students have launched a recall effort to remove two members of the governing board, Scott Stewart and Marty Cortez.
Stewart, Cortez and Even all served on Pima's board during the time that the problems identified by the HLC occurred. During the May 8 meeting, Brenda Even, Marty Cortez, David Longoria and Scott Stewart all offered apologies for Pima being placed on probation, but said they will not resign and will not make the same mistakes again. The four board members who served during the former chancellor's tenure, Brenda Even, Scott Stewart, David Longoria and Marty Cortez, have also faced resolutions of no confidence from many of the same groups following the release of the HLC's findings. Stewart was the last of the four embattled board members to speak, and began his dialogue much like Longoria. "I, too, will not be resigning," he said. He also apologized for whatever role he may have played in Pima being placed on probation.
