Ron CorreaPoint Foundation: Ron CorreaRon CorreaRon was born in the suburbs of Washington, DC, and raised in Waldorf, Maryland.Always striving to do his best, he graduated high school summa cum laude and as football captain, swimming captain, JROTC Battalion Commander, and member of the National Honor Society.He was accepted to various universities, including appointments to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the U.S. Air Force Academy.Despite all of these accomplishments, he still received disrespect and discrimination from his peers when he came out a few months prior to the end of his high school career.Ron chose to attend USAFA, but soon realized it was not the proper path for him and returned home.Receiving no support from his parents, he was forced to move out and fund his own college career.Finally able to make his own decisions about life, he began to explore the LGBT community and start activist work.Ron currently is double majoring in Marketing and Graphic Design and is the Vice President of Pride Alliance at the UMD.He hopes to eventually own an advertising firm and use his love for public speaking and debate to help further the LGBT community.

Raised in Waldorf, Maryland, Ron graduated from high school summa cum laude, captain of the football and swimming teams, and JROTC Battalion Commander. Despite all of these accomplishments, he still received disrespect and discrimination from his peers when he came out at the end of high school. After leaving the US Air Force, Ron moved out on his own to fund his own college career. He is currently pursuing a BFA in photography and graphic design at Frostburg State University in Maryland.
