Roland A. Jansen, Non Executive Director
Roland A. Jansen holds a degree in Business Administration (lic.oec.HSG) from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He has worked in New York, London and Zurich as a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch and Cargill Investor Services. He was a Senior Vice President of Coutts & Co. in the British bank's Zurich office from 1995 - 2000, and Director of Fund Management at the Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG. in Vaduz, Principality of Liechtenstein, where he was instrumental in developing the bank's fund business from scratch to CHF 2.5 billion. Roland is the author of "Profits from Natural Resources", John Wiley & Sons, New York (1998) where he correctly forecast the end of the bear market and the new supercycle in commodities. His second book, "Second Generation Biofuels and Biomass, a Guide for Investors, Scientists and Decision Makers" was published by Wiley VCH in 2013. His company Mother Earth Energy is involved in wood pellet and wood chip trading on behalf of utilities and retailers. He appears regularly on Bloomberg Television to give his views on commodity trends and he is a guest lecturer on green energy at universities and conferences around the world. In addition, Roland also serves as the Honorary Consul for The Netherlands in Liechtenstein and is fluent in Dutch, German, French, English and Swiss German and has a good working knowledge of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
