Rod McFadden
Rod McFadden Rod McFadden earned his BA from UCLA's Playwriting program in 1982, and then took a 26 year hiatus from writing to have a tragically successful career in retail management. But in early 2009, he returned to writing full time, again focusing on playwriting. His plays have been well-received by Bay Area audiences of Broadway West and The Playwrights Center of SF, and his short play, Counting on Love, was a finalist in the 2011 Showoff competition. His PlayGround work, It Gets Better, was filmed for the LSU Outworks festival. Rod serves on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights Center of SF, as well as teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

After earning his Bachelor's Degree from UCLA's Playwrighting program in 1982, Rod McFadden took a brief hiatus (26 years) from writing. But in early 2009, he returned to writing full time, choosing to focus again on playwriting. He has completed half a dozen one-acts and one full-length play, with staged and developmental readings at Broadway West, Playwrights Center of SF, and Pacifica Table Readers. Rod serves on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights Center of SF, as well as teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
