EOS CCA Leads the Way at NYSOBBA 2011 Conference > EOS USA

In his presentation "Taking the First Arrow: Techniques in Becoming an Effective Leader," EOS CCA's Bob Sedia shared a multitude of ideas on managing staff through effective leadership in an entertaining, hour-long presentation on June 13.
As for the title of the presentation, "Taking the First Arrow", Bob pointed out that a true leader "walks in front of the group" taking "the first arrow" in bad times, and giving all credit to the work group, in good times. Approximately 80 attendees also learned about practical ways to maintain he energy leaders need. According to Bob, it is incumbent on leaders to be good communicators of goals and objectives, providing the necessary instruction and feedback to ensure that workers achieve their goals. "We wanted to do a presentation that was timely and relevant," said Bob Sedia."In these difficult economic times, when managers are required to do so much with fewer resources, we thought this presentation would be beneficial to the NYSOBBA members." Bob received an extremely positive reaction from attendees, who were enthusiastic about the material presented, and appreciated that it was communicated in an interactive, entertaining forum. Bob's presentation was so well received that he is taking it "on the road. He'll be presenting to the Texas BUC$ (Texas Bursars for Universities and Colleges) during their annual conference October 10-12 in Dallas, Texas.
