Richard Rostan

Rick began his career in logistics more than 40 years ago, shortly after graduating from Dana College near Omaha, Nebraska where he played football and baseball. In 1980, Rick took an entry-level position at Harper Robinson in Chicago, Illinois. After successively responsible roles, he left in 1985 to join Expeditors International for the opportu... nity to run the Chicago office. While in Chicago, he worked his way up in the organization from Manager to District Manager to Regional Vice President. His focus in these positions was always on operational execution, driving sales and personal development. Based on his performance he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Distribution in 2012 and relocated to Expeditors’ Seattle headquarters. In 2014, Rick was promoted to Senior Vice President of the Americas and in 2015 Executive Vice president of the Americas. After guiding the Americas for three years, Rick was promoted to President of Global Geographies and Operations. He is responsible for all sales and operations of the over 350 locations and over 18,000 employees. Rick and his wife of over 40 years, Peggy, live in Seattle.
