Richard Baird has spent most of his life involved with restoration projects.
At an early age he spent most of his summers helping his father Steven T.  Baird, an Architect, with restoration surveys of old cast iron buildings.  Some of the projects he helped with were the Grand Old Opera house in Wilmington, Delaware, the Wilkins Building in Baltimore, Maryland, the California State Capitol located in Sacramento, California, and the Old Executive Office Building in Washington DC.  Richard has followed in his father's footsteps by getting a degree in Architecture and worked in his fathers firm for nine years. After his tenure with his father he developed a company with his two brothers called Historical Arts and Casting, Inc.  Historical Arts & Casting, Inc. has been very successful in recreating architectural metalwork and has been involved with many restoration projects throughout the country for more than 30 years.
