Ric Geyer Managing Director, 4731 Solutions Geyer is a project-oriented innovator, urbanist and social entrepreneur. Acting on his belief that diversity is one of our greatest creative strengths, he focuses his efforts on breaking down barriers between those with dissimilar perspectives. His leadership of the Breakthrough Project at Ford Motor resulted in the discovery of several breakthrough vehicles that ultimately generated billions of dollars in revenue and the formal creation of the Breakthrough Process within Advanced Vehicle Engineering. He has completed numerous process improvement projects in multiple industries. His recent strategic facilitation clients have included Invest Atlanta, the cabinet of the Mayor of Atlanta, and several efforts to uncover new revenue opportunities for the city of Atlanta. Geyer served on the board of Detroit's Economic Development Corporation Board, and was co-chair of Detroit's Community Reinvestment Strategy. He also founded and built an award-winning arts/entrepreneurial incubator on Detroit's near west side (4731.com); He served as development director for Recovery Park, an urban farming organization in Detroit, and as project officer working on delivering innovation for the Mayor of Atlanta. Geyer is chair of the board of Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice, a non-profit dedicated to empowering urban residents and building safe, clean neighborhoods. He also serves on the board of the Lifecycle Building Center in Atlanta, an entrepreneurial non-profit focused on bulk waste stream diversion through building material salvage and reuse. He recently partnered with the CF Center for Excellence at Emory to host the "HACKforCF", a hackathon designed to uncover solutions for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. In July, he and a growing group of supporters recently completed their 6th 14 mile swim across Lake St Clair in Michigan to benefit CF. Finally, he is an accomplished furniture maker who has also rehabbed several homes in Detroit.
