Rebecca Banks Director (913) 627-9400 Rebecca Banks, Center Director, graduated from the University of Kansas in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. In addition to her strong educational background, she is a fitness instructor, and has been involved with designing and implementing individualized fitness programs for 15 years. Her passion for working with children with special needs began while developing fitness programs for this special population. She saw great growth in development from physical activity and nutrition. She was fascinated by the gains that children were making physically but knew there was more work that needed to be done, for children to reach optimal levels of cognition and behavior. She was hired in February 2010 as a Sensory Motor Coach with Brain Balance Achievement Centers and began to see breakthroughs with children through, Dr. Robert Melillo's multi-module approach, in the Brain Balance Program. Through her commitment to ongoing research, leadership, and a passion for seeing children healed and made whole, she grew with the company and is now the Center Director in Overland Park, Kansas. She successfully completed training through the Brain Balance Academy. She continues to enhance her depth of knowledge through Dr. Robert Melillo's Brain Balance Program, utilizing Hemispheric Integration, for children who have difficulties with behaviors, socialization, or academic concerns. She is gifted as a thought leader and innovator. She enjoys being a part of the achievement and success of children. She is a determined individual with compassion towards children, and will continue to strive for growth and potential with each child she encounters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, loves to run and read.
