Ray August is president, Insurance Software and Business Process Solutions for DXC Technology. He is focused on capitalizing on DXC’s leading position in insurance to help customers accelerate and sustain revenue growth, build and operate their digital core, and transform their operations. A 30-year veteran of the insurance and technology industries, Ray has successfully led companies through all stages of growth. Most recently, as president and CEO of Benefitfocus, Ray transformed the benefits management software provider from a traditional SaaS provider to a robust platform company. Under his leadership, revenue more than doubled and gross margin increased by 1500 basis points, driven by organic and acquisition growth. During his 14-year tenure at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a predecessor of DXC, Ray held many positions, the most recent as president of the Financial Services Group. There he drove product innovation and expanded a traditional license-based software business into an industry-leading player in insurance business process outsourcing in both life and property and casualty. He also led the establishment of influential customer communities. In his former role at Microsoft (formerly Great Plains Software), Ray served as the group vice president and chief technology officer responsible for creating and launching Microsoft Dynamics. At PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ray served as a senior manager on the management consulting team. He began his PwC career as an auditor. Currently on the Board of Directors for ACORD Solutions Group, Ray earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.Read More
