Rachel Logie
Rachel Logie Registered Architect Rachel's career commenced in the Christchurch office of Peter Beaven, producing measured drawings of the Press Building in Cathedral Square for a regeneration project - and establishing in her an interest in heritage architecture. Rachel was also part of the team for the Royal Festival Hall refurbishment on the Southbank, for which she produced heritage colours/finishes documentation and assisted with the Listed Building Application for the auditorium. On her return to NZ in 2006, Rachel used this background to gain further experience in heritage work in Wellington before making the move to Salmond Reed Architects early in 2011. Here she has been heavily involved in heritage projects of note, including the refurbishment of the Rob Roy (Birdcage) Hotel in Freemans Bay, coordination of the documentation for a major refit within the University of Auckland's iconic clock-tower building and, more recently, the refurbishment of the Presbytery at the historic St John the Baptist Church in Parnell. While Rachel has been able to make valuable input to such heritage projects, her general architectural experience and knowledge provides a valuable basis for her contribution to the many residential renovation projects undertaken by the practice.
