Mrs. Jackson owns Jackson Interior Design and Furnishing Company. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee- Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and is registered in Tennessee and certified in Virginia. She has practiced residential and commercial design in the Tri-Cities for more than 30 years, and her projects have won awards and have been featured in various publications. She is also trained in the discipline of "Aging in Place". She has been an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers for many years and has served in many positions, including TN Chapter President, Board Member, Legislative Chairperson, and Tri-Cities Association Chairperson. Mrs. Jackson was honored by the ASID TN Chapter as "Designer of the Year" (1995) and was the recipient of the coveted "Kenneth Kimbrough Award of Excellence" (1996). In 2006, she received the Medalist Award which is the second highest National ASID award. Mrs. Jackson has also served as a member of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Practicum Committee. She has served as the President of the Tennessee Interior Design Coalition and as a member of the ETSU Interior Design Advisory Board. Mrs. Jackson is a charter member of the Tri-Cities Airport Area Rotary Club and served as its first female president. She is also a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.
