St. Joseph Campus Associates Share a Thanksgiving Feast with Local Families - Buffalo, NY - Catholic Health

"This has become a Thanksgiving tradition at St. Joseph Campus," said Paula Moscato, Vice President of Mission Integration for the Catholic Health hospital and organizer of the event.
"Associates at St. Joseph Campus have been putting together food baskets for over 13 years, and I am touched by the generosity of our associates, physicians and all those who step forward to help." Various hospital departments donate all the trimmings and carefully put together the individual baskets, while the hospital's Medical Staff, Foundation Board and Associate Relations Committee contribute funds to buy a turkey for each family. "St. Joseph Campus is known throughout the community for providing high quality medical care, but our associates do so much more to support our friends and neighbors," Ms. Moscato continued. "Our mission, to serve those who are poor and disadvantaged, is one of the reasons projects like this are so important." Approximately 60 baskets, which include a complete Thanksgiving meal - from stuffing, sweet potatoes and corn to cranberry sauce and pumpkin pies - will be distributed by local parishes. "What better time of the year to give thanks for all our blessings and help those who may not be as fortunate," Ms. Moscato added.

Sisters of Charity Hospital Associates Across Both Campuses Help Feed Local Families This Thanksgiving Season - Buffalo, NY - Catholic Health

"Our Catholic Health Mission, to reveal the healing love of Jesus to those in need, is at the center of this outreach effort," says Paula Moscato, vice president Mission Integration at Sisters Hospital and coordinator of the event.
Numerous hospital departments donate all the trimmings for a traditional thanksgiving meal and carefully assemble each basket, while Sisters Hospital Medical Staff contributes the turkeys. The baskets will be distributed to local parishes, church communities and other outreach centers, including Catholic Charities. "Sisters of Charity Hospital and its St. Joseph Campus are known throughout the community for providing high quality medical care, but our associates do so much more," Moscato added.
