Vice President, Engineering and Operations, Sensity Systems Pamela Adams, the leader of Sensity's engineering and operations teams, is responsible for delivering the world's first Light Sensory Network. By attracting and retaining world-class engineering and operations talent, she will ensure that the company's innovative products and applications achieve industry-leading quality, capabilities, and ease of use. Her previous 14 years in VP engineering roles span both publicly traded and startup companies; encompass multi-project and multi-site management experience; and cover a broad range of technologies, including telecommunications, local and wide-area network hardware and software, and end-user audio and video products. Before Sensity, she was vice president of engineering at Polycom, Inc., leading design and delivery of all the company's conferencing, desktop, Wi-Fi, and personal communications products; vice president of engineering at Aruba Wireless Networks, with engineering responsibilities for multiple hardware platforms and WLAN software applications; and senior vice president of engineering for Ciena Corp., a $2 billion network solutions company, where she led the execution of the company's core product direction and technology strategy. She joined Ciena as part of its acquisition of ONI, where she was also vice president of engineering. Before ONI, she was vice president of engineering at Trillium Digital Systems, a startup networking software company acquired by Intel. Pamela earned a BS in computer science, with minors in electrical engineering and zoology (pre-med curriculum), from North Carolina State University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She began her career with Nortel in its Research Triangle Park (North Carolina) facility, culminating in her position as director of software development.
