If you know the family, he said, you'll know the son likes soccer, for example - and then you can help find a soccer program. "A lot of it is advocacy," VanDerHerberg said. But VanDerHerberg said the NCC is expecting 36 government-assisted refugee families in total - and those people won't have private groups to help them navigate the city.
