Mayumi Aaberg
Certified Occupational Therapist (email) Mayumi is a licensed Occupational Therapist who was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in a small town in Wisconsin. She graduated with a liberal arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1987 and a Master's degree from Rush University of Chicago's Rush-Presbyterian-St. uke's Medical Center in 1996. After many years of treating adults in a variety of settings, Mayumi began transitioning to pediatrics at preschools and early elementary schools in 2011. She started working at Therapeutic Links in 2013 and is excited to be working alongside fun, experienced therapists who are committed to learning, sharing the knowledge and experience, and providing excellent and holistic care to children and their families. Mayumi is a passionate life-long learner with a special interest in prevention and wellness. She has practiced a variety of forms of traditional tai chi since 1994 and became a certified instructor of Tai Chi Fundamentals (R) in 2011. When Mayumi is not at the clinic or practicing tai chi, she is cheering on one of her three children in soccer or basketball, gardening, reading about nutrition or wellness, or volunteering in one the the cat rooms at Save-A-Pet.

Mayumi Aaberg, CTI, MS OTR/L became a certified instructor of Tai Chi Fundamentals ® in 2011.
She has taught privately and has held classes at the Prairie Sunshine Yoga (2012). She's held weekly classes at the Grayslake Senior since January 2013 and will now bring her expertise to Therapeutic Links.
