Max Everett is a senior cybersecurity advisor for Fortalice Solutions with over 18 years of experience at the intersection of policy and implementation for technology solutions and cybersecurity protections, in both the public and private sector. His work includes support of classified security programs, incident response, and cyber risk assessment for clients in retail, finance, and critical infrastructure. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer at ZRA, a consulting firm supporting cybersecurity programs at the Department of Homeland Security and private sector organizations including the Business Roundtable. His work encompassed the development and implementation of programs addressing the security of critical networks, cloud security policies, and cyber threat information sharing programs between the government and critical infrastructure providers. In 2008, Max served as Chief Information Officer of the White House, leading the largest electronic records transfer in National Archives history during the Presidential Transition. He previously held technology leadership roles at the Department of Commerce, the Department of Homeland Security, and national political conventions. He also provided digital strategy and program management for two Fortune 50 companies while Chief Technology Officer at NetPower Strategy. Max graduated from the University of Texas and earned a J.D. from the University of Houston Law School, and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He holds a number of professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker, and Project Management Professional. Max lives with his wife and two daughters in Washington, DC.
