> Marvin Leroy Batt Marvin Leroy Batt, 77 of Gering, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at his home.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Central Church of Christ in Gering with Brother Howard Roseberry and Lyle Hinebauch officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff.Memorials have been established to Central Church of Christ, Prairie Haven Hospice and the Farm and Ranch Museum of Gering.Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.Marvin was born Jan. 7, 1931 to Melvin and Lydia (Meyer) Batt at his grandparents (Conrad and Anna Batt) Creighton Valley farm home.Marvin married Arlene Hulbert in 1951 at Central Church of Christ in Gering.Marvin was a member of Central Church of Christ in Gering and served on the Melbeta School Board, was a leader in the Code Valley 4-H Pig Club, the 4-H Sugar Beet Club, served on the ASC Board, member of the Farm and Ranch Museum of Gering and greatly enjoyed his partnership with Marvin Crom in the Sugar Valley Rally.
