Chief Executive Officer Markus heads Digital at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group and has been with Holtzbrinck Digital since 2007. He has been involved in more than 50 M&A deals - investments/divestments - and has played a major role in developing and shaping the portfolio in the last decade. During that time Markus has worked closely with many portfolio companies and was responsible for past investments including Parship, Allesklar.com, studiVZ, myphotobook or money.pl. Prior to joining Holtzbrinck Digital, he held senior project management positions at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group and KPMG Corporate Finance. Markus Schunk Managing Director Markus Schunk is a Managing Director of Holtzbrinck Digital since May 2011 after already serving on its management board as CFO since March 2009. Prior to that, Markus was Managing Director of the Holtzbrinck eLAB GmbH, after having already taken over the commercial management of the company in October 2007. Markus joined the Georg von Holtzbrinck Publishing Group in September 2004. In his first assignment, Markus was responsible for the financial controlling of the foreign portfolio companies Macmillan and Macmillan US. Subsequently, Markus was a project leader for Mergers & Acquisitions. In this function, he conducted many transactions in the digital and traditional media fields. Before joining Holtzbrinck, Markus was a Senior Consultant for KPMG in Munich working in the field of corporate finance. Markus attained his Master degree in General Management at the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen.
